Getting There

• Bus

  From Utrecht Central Station, take bus number 120 towards Amsterdam. The bus departs frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Amsterdam, Leidseplein' stop, which is a short walk from the theater. Once you disembark, walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam located at Leidseplein 26.

• Train

  Catch a train from Utrecht Central Station to Amsterdam Central Station. Trains run frequently, about every 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and take tram number 1, 2, or 5 from the tram stop located just outside the station. Get off at the 'Leidseplein' stop. The theater is a short walk from there, just around the square at Leidseplein 26.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops near Utrecht Central Station. Head towards the Vredenburg and follow the signs to Amsterdam on the N228 road. Upon entering Amsterdam, follow the signs to Leidseplein. The Internationaal Theater Amsterdam is located at Leidseplein 26, easily accessible by bike.

• Walking

  Although walking from Utrecht to Amsterdam is quite a long distance (approximately 45 kilometers), if you wish to explore along the way, you can start at Utrecht Central Station and walk towards the city center. From there, you can follow the scenic route along the canals towards Amsterdam, eventually reaching Leidseplein. However, this is a long journey and may take several hours, so it’s advisable to use public transport instead.
