Walking
If you are near the city center, start at the Grote Markt in Haarlem. Head southeast on Gierstraat, then turn right onto Zijlstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Zijlweg. Turn left and walk along Zijlweg until you reach the train station, Haarlem Centraal. From there, take a train to Leiden; the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Centraal, exit the station and head east on Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the first roundabout, then take the first exit onto Rijnsburgerweg. Follow this road until it becomes Park de Put. The Molen De Put will be on your left at Park de Put 11.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start at the Grote Markt and head southeast towards the Zijlweg. Continue on Zijlweg until you reach the train station, Haarlem Centraal. From there, cycle to Leiden via the designated bike path that follows the train tracks. It should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Leiden, follow the signs to the city center. When you reach the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Rijnsburgerweg. Continue straight until you arrive at Park de Put; Molen De Put will be located at Park de Put 11.
Public Transport
From your location in Haarlem, make your way to Haarlem Centraal, which is the main train station. You can either walk or take a local bus to get there. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Leiden. Board the train heading to Leiden; the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Leiden Centraal, exit the station and take bus line 1 towards 'Leiden, Molen de Put.' Get off at the 'Park de Put' stop, which is just a short walk from Molen De Put at Park de Put 11.
