Walking
If you are in the center of Haarlem, start at the Grote Markt, which is the main square. Head east on the Gedempte Oude Gracht towards the Spaarne River. Continue straight until you reach the bridge at the end. Cross the bridge and take a left onto the Zijlweg. After about 800 meters, you will see signs for the train station. Follow the signs to the Haarlem Train Station. From the Haarlem Train Station, take a train to Leiden. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head southeast on Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the first intersection, then turn right onto Oude Singel. The Museum De Lakenhal will be on your left at Oude Singel 32.

Public Transport
From the center of Haarlem, walk to the Haarlem Train Station, located about 1 kilometer from the Grote Markt. You can take the bus line 50 from the bus stop near the church on the Grote Markt towards Leiden. Get off at the Leiden Central Station. From there, it's a short walk to Museum De Lakenhal. Head southeast on Stationsweg, then turn right onto Oude Singel. The museum will be on your left at Oude Singel 32.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start from the city center and head towards the Spaarne River. Follow the river south until you reach the main road. Take the N208 road towards Leiden, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. Upon reaching Leiden, follow the signs to the city center. Once you arrive, park your bike and head southeast on Stationsweg, turning right onto Oude Singel. The Museum De Lakenhal will be on your left at Oude Singel 32.
