Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the central square, Grote Markt, head northeast towards the Spaarne river. Cross the bridge at the end of the square, and continue straight along the river for about 5 minutes. You will see the historic buildings of Haarlem lining the river, creating a picturesque walk. After approximately 400 meters, turn right onto the Groot Heiligland street. Continue walking straight for another 5 minutes until you see Museum Haarlem on your left at Groot Heiligland 47.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Haarlem's central station, take bus number 50 towards 'Zandvoort'. Get off at the 'Groot Heiligland' stop, which is about a 5-minute ride. Once you get off the bus, walk back towards the corner and turn left onto Groot Heiligland street. The museum will be on your right after a short walk of about 3 minutes at Groot Heiligland 47.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops near the central station. Head south on the Zijlweg and follow the signs for the city center. Once you reach the Grote Markt, continue northeast towards the Spaarne river. From there, follow the river as mentioned in the walking directions. After reaching Groot Heiligland, turn right, and the museum will be on your left after a short ride.
