From the center of Haarlem, head towards the Haarlem Railway Station (Haarlem CS). Once you arrive at the station, purchase a ticket for a train to Amsterdam. Trains to Amsterdam Centraal leave frequently, so check the schedule on the departure board. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and walk towards the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 2 or 12 in the direction of 'Amsterdam-Zuid'. After a short ride of about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Museumplein' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Rijksmuseum. Follow the signs directing you to the museum. The entrance is located at Museumstraat 1.
