Getting There

• Walking

  From the Haarlem train station, exit towards the main square (Grote Markt). Head straight along the Kruisweg until you reach the busy shopping street, Gedempte Oude Gracht. Turn left onto Gedempte Oude Gracht and walk until you reach the intersection with the Zijlstraat. Continue straight onto the Zijlstraat, which will lead you out of Haarlem. Follow the signs for the train station. Once at the station, take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. After arriving at Amsterdam Central, exit the station and head southwest towards the Damrak street. Continue walking straight until you reach the Rokin intersection. Turn right onto Rokin and then take the first left onto Lange Niezel. The Saloon Smoking Bull will be on your left at number 13.

• Public Transport

  From Haarlem, walk to the Haarlem train station. Purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. The train ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Central, exit the station and take tram line 4 or 14 from the tram stop outside the station. Get off at the stop called 'Dam', and then walk straight down Rokin street. Take a left onto Lange Niezel, and you will find the Saloon Smoking Bull at number 13.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Haarlem. From the city center, follow the cycle path towards Amsterdam. It is about a 30-minute ride, mostly along the scenic routes. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, head towards the city center. Follow the signs for 'Centrum' and then navigate to Rokin street. From there, take a left onto Lange Niezel where you will find the Saloon Smoking Bull at number 13.
