Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Haarlem, start at the Grote Markt (the main square). Head southeast on the Grote Houtstraat. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Zijlweg. Turn left onto Zijlweg and continue walking until you reach the train station, Haarlem Centraal. Once at the station, take a train towards Utrecht. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head east towards Vredenburg. Continue straight until you see the Dom Tower. St Martin's Cathedral is located at Achter de Dom 1, just beside the tower.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start at the Grote Markt and cycle south on the Gierstraat until you reach the Zijlweg. Turn left onto Zijlweg and continue to Haarlem Centraal Station. Follow the bike path to Utrecht, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. The route is mostly flat and takes about 1 hour to reach Utrecht. Once in Utrecht, follow signs to the city center, and head towards the Dom Tower where St Martin's Cathedral is located at Achter de Dom 1.
