  • Walking

    From the center of Haarlem, head east towards the Spaarne River. Once you reach the river, walk along the eastern bank heading south until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge to the other side. Continue straight until you reach the train station, Haarlem Station. From Haarlem Station, take a train towards Utrecht. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head southeast towards the bus terminal. Take bus line 28 or 30 from the bus terminal towards 'Utrecht, Botanische Tuinen'. Get off at the stop 'Botanische Tuinen'. From the bus stop, walk for about 5 minutes to reach the Utrecht Botanic Gardens at Budapestlaan 17.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Haarlem. Start at the Grote Markt and head southeast towards the Spaarne River. Follow the bike paths across the river and continue to Haarlem Station. From there, bike along the train tracks heading to Utrecht. Once you reach Utrecht, follow the signs to the Botanic Gardens, which is about a 15-minute bike ride from the city center.
