Bus
To reach Wijk aan Zee from Haarlem, you can take bus number 80 from Haarlem Station. Start at Haarlem Station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the main entrance. Board the bus heading towards Beverwijk. After about 20-25 minutes, get off at the 'Wijk aan Zee' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach area.
Train and Bus
Begin your journey at Haarlem Station. Take the train to Beverwijk, which is a direct route and takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Beverwijk Station, exit and look for bus number 80, which will take you directly to Wijk aan Zee. After about 10 minutes on the bus, you will arrive at your destination. Follow the signs to the beach from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Haarlem. Start at the center of Haarlem and head towards the north, following the signs for the 'Fietsroute' to Wijk aan Zee. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes. You will cycle through beautiful countryside and eventually reach Wijk aan Zee, where you can enjoy the beach and the sea.
Walking
Walking to Wijk aan Zee from Haarlem is quite a trek, approximately 12 kilometers. If you are up for it, start from the center of Haarlem and head north towards Beverwijk. Follow the main road (N208) and then take the signs towards Wijk aan Zee. This route will take around 2.5 to 3 hours, so be prepared with water and good walking shoes.
