From Haarlem's central station (Haarlem CS), exit the station and head straight onto the Stationsplein. Take the first right onto the Schalkwijkerstraat and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. Turn left onto the Zijlweg and follow it until you reach the intersection with the Amsterdamsevaart. Cross the road and continue straight onto the Spaarne. Follow the Spaarne river for about 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Goudaweg. Keep walking straight until you arrive in the center of Gouda, where Willem Vroesentuin is located near the historic town square.
Train
From Haarlem central station (Haarlem CS), purchase a ticket to Gouda at the ticket machine or ticket counter. Board a train heading towards Utrecht and get off at Gouda station. The train ride takes approximately 20-25 minutes. Once you exit Gouda station, head straight out of the station and take the first left onto the Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the town center. Willem Vroesentuin is just a short walk from the town square, easily accessible through the main streets.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start from Haarlem central station and head towards the Zijlweg. Follow the Zijlweg out of Haarlem, then turn onto the N205 towards Gouda. It’s about a 40-minute bike ride. Once you arrive in Gouda, follow signs towards the town center, where Willem Vroesentuin is located near the historic town square.
