Walking
If you are starting from Haarlem's central train station (Haarlem Centraal), exit the station and head south on the Schalkwijkerweg. After a short walk, take a left onto the Zijlweg. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Kruisweg. Here, turn right onto the Kruisweg and continue for about 10 minutes until you see signs for the Amsterdamse Poort, located at 2011 BZ Haarlem. The landmark is a short walk from the main road.
Public Transport - Bus
From Haarlem's main square (Grote Markt), head to the nearest bus stop called 'Grote Markt'. Take bus line 73 towards 'Haarlem, Noorderweg'. After about 5 stops, get off at 'Haarlem, Amsterdamse Poort'. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. The Amsterdamse Poort will be directly in front of you as you exit the bus.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from any of the bike rental shops near the Haarlem train station. Head southwest on the Zijlweg, then take a right onto the Kruisweg. Follow the bike path for about 15 minutes until you see the Amsterdamse Poort on your right. There are bike racks available near the entrance for parking.
