Getting There

• Walking

  From the central station in Haarlem, exit the station and head southeast on Stationsplein. Follow the road as it curves slightly to the right, becoming Kruisstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Barteljorisstraat. Turn left onto Barteljorisstraat and continue walking until you reach the main square, Grote Markt. From there, head east towards the Spaarne River. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the path along the water until you reach the bridge, Blauwbrug. The bridge is easily recognizable, and you can’t miss it!

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops near Haarlem's central station. Start from the station and head south towards the city center. Follow the same route as if you were walking: take the Kruisstraat, turn left at Barteljorisstraat, and continue to the Grote Markt. Once there, bike towards the Spaarne River and follow the path along the river to Blauwbrug. The ride is pleasant and offers beautiful views along the way.

• Public Transport

  Although Blauwbrug is best accessed by walking or cycling, if you want to use public transport, you can take a bus from Haarlem's central bus station. Look for bus lines heading towards Amsterdam. When you board, ask the driver for a stop near the Spaarne River. After getting off, simply walk towards the river and look for Blauwbrug. Ensure you have a public transport card or cash ready for the fare.
