Walking
From the central train station (Haarlem Centraal), exit the station and head west on the main street, Stationsplein. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with the Grote Houtstraat. Turn left onto Grote Houtstraat and walk for around 500 meters. You will reach the historic city center where you can follow the signs to the Dam. The total walking distance is approximately 1.3 kilometers, taking about 15-20 minutes.
Bus
From Haarlem Centraal station, take bus line 50 towards Amsterdam. The bus departs from the bus stop right outside the station. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes and get off at the 'Amsterdam, Dam' stop. From there, you will find yourself at the iconic Dam Square, which is the heart of Amsterdam.
Train
At Haarlem Centraal, board a train heading to Amsterdam Central Station. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the Dam, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the station. Follow signs for Damrak, which will lead you directly to Dam Square.
