Take tram line 16 or 17 towards the direction of 'Kijkduin' or 'Holland Spoor'. Get off at the 'Plein 1813' tram stop. The Independence Monument will be directly in front of you at Plein 1813.

As you approach The Hague, follow the signs for the city center. Upon entering the city, keep cycling straight until you reach the Plein 1813 square. The Independence Monument is located right at the square.

If you wish to walk to The Hague from Haarlem, it is quite a long journey, approximately 30 kilometers, and would take around 6 hours. Start from the center of Haarlem and head south toward the N208 road. Follow the road signs to The Hague. Upon reaching the city, navigate towards the center, looking for signs pointing to 'Plein 1813'. The Independence Monument is located in the square there.
