Getting There

Walking
From the central square of Haarlem (Grote Markt), head southwest towards the Spaarne River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach the bridge at the end of the river. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you reach the main intersection. Take a left onto the Lange Begijnestraat. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Nieuwe Gracht. Turn right, and then keep walking until you reach the intersection with the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. You will arrive at Prinsengracht in about 30-40 minutes.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start at the central square (Grote Markt) and head north towards the Spaarne River. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the river until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the bike path. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will enter Amsterdam. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Prinsengracht, which should take you about 10 more minutes to reach.

From Haarlem, take the train from Haarlem Station to Amsterdam Central Station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head southwest towards the Damrak. From there, take tram line 2 or 12 from the tram stop near the station to the stop at 'Prinsengracht'. You will be within walking distance of the famous canal, Prinsengracht.
