The Majestic Thematerkade: A Historic Landmark in Utrecht

Getting There

• Walking

  From the central train station in Haarlem, head south on Stationsplein. Turn left onto Kruisweg and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Gedempte Oude Gracht. Turn right onto Gedempte Oude Gracht and walk along the canal until you reach the end where it intersects with Riviervismarkt. Continue straight onto Zijlweg and then turn left onto Nieuwe Gracht. Follow it until you reach the intersection with Spaarne. Cross over the bridge, and then keep walking straight. As you reach the end of the street, you will find the bus station. From there, take Bus 50 towards Utrecht. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop 'Thematerkade'. Walk a few minutes towards Thematerkade 4, which will be on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike at one of the many rental shops in Haarlem. Start from the central train station and head east on Stationsplein. Take a right onto Kruisweg, and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Zijlweg and continue straight. Follow the cycle path signs for Utrecht, and after about 20 minutes of cycling, you will reach Vleuten-De Meern. Look for signs pointing to Thematerkade. Once you arrive at Thematerkade, your destination will be on the right at number 4.

• Public Transport

  From Haarlem, make your way to the local bus station located next to the train station. Take Bus 50 towards Utrecht. The journey will take around 30 minutes, and you will need to get off at 'Thematerkade' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance towards Thematerkade 4, which is located just a few minutes away on the left side of the street.
