If you're driving, start from the visitor center of Hoge Veluwe National Park. Head southeast on the Houtkampweg, then turn left onto the N304. Continue on N304 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the village of Kootwijk. Follow the signs to Het Kootwijkerzand, which is located just south of Kootwijk. There is a parking area available near the entrance, which may incur a parking fee depending on the park's regulations.

For those using public transportation, take a train to Apeldoorn station. From Apeldoorn, you can catch bus number 107 towards 'Kootwijk'. Disembark at the 'Kootwijk' stop. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk (1.5 km) to Het Kootwijkerzand. Follow the signs directing you toward the nature reserve. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for the latest information on route times and frequency.

Another great option is to rent a bicycle at one of the bike rental stations within Hoge Veluwe National Park.
