Car
If you are driving from the town of Almere, head south on the A6 motorway. Take the exit towards the N702, and follow the signs for Eemdijk. Continue on the N702 until you reach Eempolder. There is parking available near the nature preserve. Please note that there may be parking fees, so prepare some coins or check for parking apps in the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Eempolder using public transport, start by taking a train from Amsterdam Centraal Station to Almere Centrum. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. From Almere Centrum Station, transfer to bus line 161, which goes directly to Eemdijk. The bus will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. You might need a public transport card (OV-chipkaart) for the train and bus rides, which can be purchased at the station.
Bicycle
For those looking to enjoy the scenic route, consider renting a bicycle in Almere. Follow the cycling paths from Almere towards Eemdijk, which is approximately a 12 km ride.
