If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kennemerland and head towards the A1 motorway. Follow the signs for Amsterdam. Merge onto the A1 and continue for approximately 25 kilometers. Take exit 6 towards Muiden. Continue on N525 until you reach Herengracht in Muiden. The Muiderslot will be on your right at Herengracht 1. There is a parking lot available nearby, but parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a train from any station in Kennemerland to Amsterdam Centraal. From Amsterdam Centraal, take the train to Weesp (approximately a 15-minute ride). At Weesp station, transfer to bus line 110 or 120 towards Muiden. Get off at the 'Muiden, Herengracht' stop, which is just a short walk from Muiderslot. The total travel time will be approximately 1 hour, and a train ticket typically costs around €5-€10 depending on your starting station.
Bicycle
If you're looking to cycle, rent a bike in Kennemerland and follow the biking paths towards Muiden. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers and should take around 50 minutes. Follow the signs towards the A1 and then take the designated cycling paths to Muiden. This is a scenic route with beautiful views along the way. Make sure to lock your bike at the bike racks available at Muiderslot.
