From the center of Leiden, head to the nearest train station, Leiden Centraal. Once there, purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Centraal. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at Amsterdam Centraal, follow the signs for the 'IJ' (the water) and exit the station. From the station, walk towards the ferry terminal, which is just a short distance away across the street. Take the free ferry to Amsterdam-Noord, which will take you directly across the water to the other side. Once you disembark from the ferry, walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Overhoeksplein. A'DAM Lookout is located at Overhoeksplein 5.

Starting from any location in Leiden, make your way to Leiden Centraal station. Purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Centraal; the train ride is roughly 30-40 minutes.
