Bicycle
To reach Beach Bloemendaal from Leiden, you can rent a bicycle, as it is a popular mode of transport in the Netherlands. Start by heading to the main train station, Leiden Centraal. From there, cycle northwest along the N206 towards the town of Voorschoten. Continue on the N206 until you reach the roundabout and take the second exit onto the N208. Follow this road through the towns of Voorhout and then onto the A44. You will eventually reach the exit for Bloemendaal. Continue to follow the signs for Bloemendaal until you arrive at the beach area.
Public Transport (Train and Bus)
To get to Beach Bloemendaal using public transport, start at Leiden Centraal station. Take a train towards Haarlem and get off at Overveen station. From Overveen, exit the station and catch bus number 81 towards Bloemendaal. The bus will take you directly to the beach area. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure a smooth journey.
Walking
Walking to Beach Bloemendaal is not practical due to the distance, but if you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to the nearest train station, Leiden Centraal, and then follow the public transport guidance from there. Walking directly would take several hours and isn’t recommended for most tourists.
