Public Transport
From Leiden Central Station, take the Intercity train towards The Hague (Den Haag) Central Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at The Hague Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for bus number 22 towards Scheveningen. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes around 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Zwarte Pad' stop. From there, walk towards the beach; you will see signs directing you to De Pier. It's about a 10-minute walk along the beach promenade.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle at one of the bike rental shops in Leiden. Head towards the south, following the signs for The Hague (Den Haag). The route is approximately 13 kilometers and will take around 40 minutes. You will ride along the beautiful countryside paths and arrive at Scheveningen beach. Once you reach the beach area, follow the signs to De Pier, which is located at Strandweg 150-154.
Walking
Although walking directly from Leiden to The Hague is quite a long distance, if you are up for an adventure, start from the city center of Leiden and walk towards The Hague. You can follow the main roads, heading south towards the beach. This walk is about 13 kilometers and will take around 3 hours. As you walk, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Once you arrive in Scheveningen, head towards the beach area, and you will see De Pier located at Strandweg 150-154.
