    Walking

    Start at Leiden Central Station. Exit the station and head towards the main road, Stationsweg. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the first traffic light. Cross the intersection and walk straight down the road, following signs for the bus or tram stop. Look for Tram 1 or Bus 1 which will take you towards Amsterdam. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at Amsterdam Central Station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Damrak, which is the main street leading into the heart of Amsterdam. Continue walking straight until you reach the famous area of De Wallen, known for its unique architecture and vibrant atmosphere.

    Train

    From Leiden Central Station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. Trains to Amsterdam run frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and proceed to the main street, Damrak. Walk straight down Damrak, and in about 15 minutes, you will reach De Wallen.
