Getting There
Walking
From the central station (Leiden Centraal), exit the station and head south towards the main street, Stationsweg. Turn right onto Stationsweg and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Continue straight onto Breestraat, and then take a left onto the canal-side path alongside the Rijn. Follow the path until you reach the bridge over the canal. Cross the bridge, and you’ll find yourself on the opposite side. Continue straight until you reach the city center. From there, head towards the Spui area. The Hoppe bar is located at Spui 18-20, Amsterdam, which is about a 30-minute walk from the city center of Leiden.
Bus
From Leiden Centraal, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus line 50 towards Amsterdam. The bus will take you directly to Amsterdam, and you should get off at the 'Amsterdam, Spui' stop. Once you get off, walk towards Spui 18-20 which is a short walk away from the bus stop. The Hoppe bar will be on your left.
Train
From Leiden Centraal, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal station. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the front entrance. From there, walk straight and follow the signs to Damstraat. Continue walking until you reach Spui, then turn left onto Spui. You will find the Hoppe bar at Spui 18-20, just a short walk from the main street.
