Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Leiden Central Station, head east towards the main exit. Once you exit the station, turn right onto Stationsweg. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes. Continue until you reach the end of Breestraat, and turn right onto Korte Mare. After a minute, you will arrive at the Botermarkt. From here, continue straight onto the Oude Singel canal path. Follow the canal until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and you will see Janskerkhof on your left in about 5 minutes.

  • Bicycle

    If you rent a bicycle in Leiden, head south towards the Nassaulaan. Continue on Nassaulaan which becomes the Nieuwe Rijn. Follow this pathway until you reach the intersection with the Lagereweg. Turn left onto Lagereweg and continue straight until you reach the Breestraat. Turn right onto Breestraat and cycle for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Korte Mare. After a minute, you will arrive at the Botermarkt. From here, continue straight onto the Oude Singel canal path. Follow the canal path and cross the bridge to reach Janskerkhof in about 5 minutes.

    From Leiden Central Station, take bus number 43 towards Utrecht. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Utrecht, Janskerkhof' stop. Once you exit the bus, Janskerkhof will be right in front of you. You can explore the area on foot from here.
