Bicycle
From the center of Leiden, head south towards the Vrouwenkerk. Once you reach the Vrouwenkerk, take the first left onto Breestraat. Continue straight until you reach the bridge over the Rijn. Cross the bridge and follow the signs for the cycle path towards Rotterdam. After about 15 minutes of cycling, you will reach the city limits of Rotterdam. Follow the signs for 'Katendrecht', which is located in the Feijenoord borough of Rotterdam.
Train
From Leiden Central Station, purchase a ticket to Rotterdam Central Station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule on the NS website or app. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Central Station, exit the station and take tram line 7 towards 'Woudestein' or line 20 towards 'Zuidplein'. Get off at the 'Katendrecht' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Katendrecht area.
Bus
Head to Leiden Central Station and take bus line 43 towards 'Rotterdam'. This bus will take you to the Rotterdam area. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Rotterdam, follow the signs for the tram and take tram line 7 towards 'Woudestein'. Get off at the 'Katendrecht' stop. You will then be within walking distance of the Katendrecht area.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the center of Leiden and head towards the Rijn. Walk along the riverbank towards the south. After about an hour, you will reach the outskirts of Rotterdam. Continue walking towards the Feijenoord borough, following the river. Eventually, you will arrive at Katendrecht. However, this option is quite long and may take over two hours.
