Walking
If you are in the city center of Leiden, start at the Breestraat. Walk towards the Lakenmarkt and continue until you reach the bridge over the Rijn. Cross the bridge and head straight on the path along the river. After about 10 minutes, you will come to a large park area. Keep following the path to the right until you see signs for Leidse Hout. The park entrance is on Houtlaan, which is where you will find the main entrance to Leidse Hout.
Bicycle
From the city center, head towards the Voldersgracht and rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Once you have your bike, ride towards the Houtlaan by following the bike paths along the canals. It should take you about 10-15 minutes to reach Leidse Hout. Follow the signs for 'Leidse Hout' as you approach Houtlaan. The park entrance will be clearly marked.
Public Transport
Take bus line 1 from the Leiden Central Station. Get off at the 'Houtlaan' stop. From the bus stop, walk down Houtlaan for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Leidse Hout on your right. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest information on departures.
