Turn right and walk along the water (Oudezijds Voorburgwal) for about 10 minutes until you reach the Torensluis.

Walking
Walking from Leiden to Amsterdam is quite a long trek (about 40 km), so it's not recommended. However, if you are in the vicinity of Amsterdam already, from the nearest tram stop to the Torensluis, walk towards the water. The statue is located near the intersection of Torensluis and the canal.
Bus
You can take a bus from Leiden to Amsterdam. Board bus number 50 from the bus station near Leiden Central. After about an hour, get off at the stop 'Amsterdam, Dam' and walk towards the water. The Multatuli Statue is located at Torensluis, which is just a few minutes away from the bus stop.
