    Getting There

    Walking

    If you're starting from the Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus station. Take bus number 50 towards Zaandam, which departs from the bus platform directly outside the station. The journey to Zaandam will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Zaandam Station, exit the bus and walk towards the main road, where you will find the bus stop for bus number 391. Board the bus number 391 towards Zaanse Schans. Get off at the stop 'Zaanse Schans' which is the closest stop to Museumwinkel Albert Heijn. From the bus stop, walk straight along Kalverringdijk for about 5 minutes, and you will find the museum on your right at Kalverringdijk 5.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops near Leiden Central Station. Once you have your bicycle, head out of the station and follow the signs for the 'Haarlemmermeer' cycle path. Continue cycling straight for about 15 kilometers towards Zaandam. Upon reaching Zaandam, follow the signs for Zaanse Schans. As you approach the area, you will see Kalverringdijk; the Museumwinkel Albert Heijn is located at Kalverringdijk 5, just off the main cycling path. The bike ride should take approximately 45-60 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

    Train

    From Leiden Central Station, take a train towards Amsterdam Central Station. You can choose any train heading in that direction; the journey takes about 30 minutes. After reaching Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, transfer to a train heading towards Uitgeest. Get off at Zaandam Station, which is about 15 minutes away. Once at Zaandam Station, follow the previous bus instructions or walk towards Kalverringdijk, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. The museum will be located at Kalverringdijk 5.
