Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central train station (Leiden Centraal), exit the station and head southeast towards the main road, Stationsweg. Turn left onto Stationsweg and walk straight until you reach the crossroads at the Breestraat. Continue straight on Breestraat for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the Nieuwe Rijn. Turn right onto Nieuwe Rijn and walk towards the center of the city. Once you reach the Garenmarkt, continue straight until you see the large canal. Cross the canal at the bridge and keep walking straight. You will approach the Burcht van Leiden (the Castle of Leiden) on your left. Keep walking along the canal until you reach the end, then turn left onto the Noordeinde street. After a short walk, you will find Noordeinde Palace (Noordeinde 68) on your right.

  • Bicycle

    From the central area of Leiden, rent a bike from one of the local rental stations. Head towards the Breestraat and cycle down towards the Garenmarkt. Continue onto the Nieuwe Rijn, cycling alongside the canal. As you reach the Burcht van Leiden (the Castle), turn left onto the canal path. Continue cycling until you reach the intersection with Noordeinde street. Turn right and bike straight for a few minutes until you see Noordeinde Palace (Noordeinde 68) on your right.

    From Leiden Centraal station, take bus line 30 towards The Hague. Alight at the stop 'Noordeinde' which is about a 20-minute ride. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the Noordeinde street, and you will find Noordeinde Palace (Noordeinde 68) just a few minutes away on your left.
