    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Leiden, head to the Leiden Central Station. Take the train towards Amsterdam Centraal (trains run frequently, about every 15-30 minutes). The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the main entrance. Upon exiting, turn left and walk along the Prins Hendrikkade until you reach the Damrak. Continue walking straight until you reach Dam Square, where you will see the Royal Palace Amsterdam located on your right, at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 147.

    Bus

    From the center of Leiden, walk to the bus stop at 'Leiden, Station'. Take bus number 30 towards Amsterdam Zuidas. Get off at 'Amsterdam, Amstelstation' (about 30 minutes). From there, transfer to the Metro Line 51, 53, or 54 towards Amsterdam Centraal. Get off at 'Amsterdam, Centraal' station. Exit the station, turn left, and walk along the Prins Hendrikkade until you reach the Damrak. Continue straight to Dam Square, where the Royal Palace Amsterdam is located at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 147.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Leiden. Start from the center and head towards the A44 road, following signs for Amsterdam. The ride is approximately 40 km and will take about 1.5 hours. Once you reach Amsterdam, find your way to the ring road (A10) and look for signs leading to the city center. Park your bike at a bike rack near Dam Square. The Royal Palace Amsterdam is a short walk from there, located at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 147.
