Walking
If you are in the center of Leiden, head to the nearest bus station, which is 'Leiden Centraal'. From there, take the bus number 43 towards 'Sassenheim' and get off at 'Sassenheim, Station'. Once you get off, walk towards the train station and take a train to Amsterdam Centraal. Upon arriving at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and walk towards the east exit. Continue walking along the 'Damrak' street until you reach 'Dam Square'. From there, head towards 'Rokin' street and take tram number 4 or 14 towards 'Amstelveenseweg'. Get off at the 'Zuid' station and walk towards 'Zuidas' where the Sluishuis is located.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental spots in Leiden. Start by biking towards the 'Rijnsburgerweg' and follow it until you reach the 'A44' highway. Continue on the bike path that leads directly to Amsterdam. Once you approach Amsterdam, follow signs for 'Zuidas'. Once you reach this area, you will find the Sluishuis. It is approximately a 30-minute bike ride.
Public Transport
From any point in Leiden, make your way to 'Leiden Centraal' station. Buy a ticket to 'Amsterdam Centraal'. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next available one. Once you arrive at 'Amsterdam Centraal', exit the station and take tram number 12 or metro line 52 towards 'Zuidas'. Get off at 'Zuid' and head towards the Sluishuis, which is around a 15-minute walk from the station.
