From the city center of Leiden, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Leiden, Stadsgehoorzaal'. Take bus line 43 towards 'Amsterdam, Bijlmer Arena'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at 'Amsterdam, Amstelstation'. From there, transfer to tram line 19 towards 'Zuid' and get off at 'Amsterdam, Weesperplein'. Walk for about 10 minutes northeast along Weesperplein, then turn left onto Linnaeusstraat. The Wereldmuseum Amsterdam will be on your right at Linnaeusstraat 2.

Head to Leiden Central Station. Purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Amstel Station. Trains run frequently, so you should find one within 10-15 minutes.
