Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Leiden, head towards the main train station (Leiden Centraal). Walk east on Stationsweg until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat, which will take you through the city center. Continue straight until you reach the bridge over the canal. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Nieuwe Beestenmarkt. Turn right onto Nieuwe Beestenmarkt, then take the first left onto Papengracht. Follow Papengracht until you reach the intersection with Bagijnhof. Turn left onto Bagijnhof, and you will find the Bagijnhofpoort at Bagijnhof 233.

• Bicycle

  If you have rented a bicycle, start at the center of Leiden and head towards the train station (Leiden Centraal). From the station, take the bike path leading east along Stationsweg. At the intersection with Breestraat, turn left and continue straight, passing through the city center. Keep following the signs for the bike path along the canals. When you reach the bridge over the canal, cross it and keep going straight until you reach Nieuwe Beestenmarkt. Turn right and then take the first left onto Papengracht. Continue biking along Papengracht until you reach Bagijnhof, where you will see Bagijnhofpoort at Bagijnhof 233.

• Public Transport

  To reach Bagijnhofpoort using public transportation, make your way to Leiden Centraal train station. From there, take Bus 5 towards 'Wassenaarsweg'. Get off at the 'Plein' stop. After disembarking, walk towards the canal and head south on Korte Mare until you reach the intersection with Bagijnhof. Turn left onto Bagijnhof, and you will see Bagijnhofpoort at Bagijnhof 233.
