From the center of Leiden, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Leiden, Station'. Take bus line 50 towards 'Rotterdam, Zuidplein'. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at 'Kinderdijk, Nederwaard'. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes in the direction of the windmills, and you will reach Nederwaard 4, where you can see the famous Kinderdijk windmills.

Start at 'Leiden Centraal' train station. Take a train to 'Rotterdam Centraal' station. Once there, transfer to bus line 202 towards 'Kinderdijk'. After a short ride, get off at 'Kinderdijk, Nederwaard'. Walk for about 5 minutes towards the windmills to reach Nederwaard 4.

Bike
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Leiden. Start by heading south towards the 'Zijlpoort' and follow the signs towards 'Kinderdijk'. The ride is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 45 minutes. Follow the bike path along the river, and upon reaching Kinderdijk, navigate towards Nederwaard 4 where the windmills are located.

Walking
For an adventurous walk, start from the center of Leiden and head towards the 'Vliet' river. Follow the river south until you reach 'Kinderdijk'. The walk is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 3 hours. Ensure you have a map or GPS on your phone to guide you along the river path to Nederwaard 4.
