Walking
From the Central Station in Leiden, head east on Stationsweg towards the city centre. Continue straight until you reach the first major intersection. Turn left onto Breestraat, and follow it as it becomes Haarlemmerstraat. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of this street. Turn right onto the Vrouwensteeg, and you will find yourself in the heart of the city. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads. Turn left onto the Nieuwe Rijn. Walk along the river until you reach the intersection with the Oude Rijn. Cross over the bridge, and continue straight until you reach the Stadhuis van Leiden (City Hall). From there, turn right onto the Langegracht and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Zijlpoort. Turn left onto the Zijlpoort and keep walking until you see signs for the bus or tram station where you can catch a public transportation to Rotterdam. Please check the local schedules for the best route to the Grotekerkplein in Rotterdam.

Public Transport
From Leiden Central Station, purchase a ticket to Rotterdam at the ticket machine or service desk. Board a train heading to Rotterdam Centraal, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Centraal, exit the train station and follow the signs for the tram station located right outside. Take tram line 21 towards 'Hofplein' and get off at the 'Grotekerkplein' stop. The St. Lawrence Church will be right in front of you at Grotekerkplein 27.
