Walking
Start from the train station in Leiden, known as Leiden Centraal. Exit the station and head towards the main road, Stationsweg. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Breestraat. Turn left onto Breestraat, which will lead you into the city center. Walk until you reach the large square known as the Hooglandsekerkgracht, and continue straight where the road becomes the Hooglandseweg. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with the Rijnsburgerweg. Here, you will take a right turn. Continue straight for several blocks until you arrive at the Leiden University Medical Center. From there, you can take bus line 43 towards Amsterdam. Get off at the stop called 'Amsterdam, Victorieplein'.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops near Leiden Centraal. Exit the station and head northwest on the Stationsweg. Continue cycling straight until you reach the Rijnsburgerweg. Take a left on Rijnsburgerweg, and follow that road out of the city center. You will encounter a bike path that leads directly to the outskirts of the city. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Amsterdam. After about 20-30 minutes of cycling, you will arrive at Amsterdam, where you can navigate to Victorieplein.
Public Transport
From Leiden Centraal, board a train heading to Amsterdam. Make sure to check the schedule as some trains may not go directly to Amsterdam. Get off at Amsterdam Centraal Station. From there, take tram line 5 towards Amstelveen. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop called 'Amsterdam, Victorieplein'. Follow the signs to exit the tram station, and you will find yourself at the Victorieplein.
