Getting There

  • Bus

    From Maastricht, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Maastricht, Station'. Take bus line 8 towards 'Hasselt, Stadsplein'. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Hasselt, Guido Gezellestraat'. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Het Stadsmus. Just head east on Guido Gezellestraat, and the museum will be on your left at number 2.

  • Train

    Make your way to Maastricht train station. Purchase a ticket to Hasselt. Board the train heading to Hasselt, which should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hasselt station, exit the station and follow the signs to the bus station. Take bus line 1 or 2 from Hasselt bus station towards 'Hasselt, Guido Gezellestraat'. After about 10 minutes, get off at 'Guido Gezellestraat'. The museum will be a short 2-minute walk ahead on your left.

    If you are feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk from the center of Maastricht to Hasselt. It is about a 7 km distance. Start from the Markt square in Maastricht and head towards the Wilhelminabrug (bridge). Cross the bridge and continue straight along the path until you reach the border. From there, follow the signs to Hasselt. Once you arrive in Hasselt, head towards Guido Gezellestraat, and you will find Het Stadsmus at number 2.
