Car
From the center of Rivierenland, head towards the N835 road. Follow signs for 'Hernen' on the N835. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Hernen. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the village of Hernen. Once in Hernen, look for signs indicating 'Hernense Bos'. The forest is located just outside the village, and there is free parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
Begin your journey by taking a train from any main train station in Rivierenland to 'Nijmegen' station. From Nijmegen, transfer to bus line 6 towards 'Hernen'. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Hernen' stop. From there, follow the signs towards 'Hernense Bos', which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be aware that bus tickets may cost around €3-€4, depending on the distance.
