Getting There

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Rotterdam Central Station, take tram line 21 towards 'Delfshaven' and get off at the 'Delfshaven' stop. Transfer to tram line 4 towards 'Kralingse Zoom' and get off at 'Den Haag Centraal'. From there, transfer to train line IC towards 'Amsterdam' and get off at 'Den Haag HS'. Once at Den Haag HS, you can either walk (approximately 15 minutes) or take bus line 22 towards 'Scheveningen' and get off at the 'Plein' stop, which is a short walk from Mauritshuis.

  • Public Transport - Train

    From Rotterdam Central Station, take a direct train to Den Haag Centraal Station, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Den Haag Centraal, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs to 'Plein' which is about a 15-minute walk. Mauritshuis is located at Plein 29, right at the square.

  • Walking

    If you are near the center of Rotterdam, head towards the Erasmus Bridge and cross it. Continue straight to the Wilhelminapier and then towards the waterfront. From there, follow signs for public transport to the nearest station, or you can take a leisurely walk along the waterfront towards the city center, which will eventually lead you to the train station. From there, follow the train guidance to reach Den Haag.

  • Bicycle

    You can rent a bicycle using one of the bike-sharing services in Rotterdam. Head towards the Erasmus Bridge and cross over. Follow the bike paths towards Den Haag, which is approximately a 20-kilometer ride. Once you arrive in Den Haag, navigate towards the city center and look for Plein, where Mauritshuis is located.
