Leiden's Shadows: A Dark History Walking Tour

A walk through time with great company

My partner and I decided to do this walking tour as we both enjoy history and taking photos. Holly was an amazing experienced guide. She was engaging, funny and knew so much! I will def be back for more of these tours! We had the best time tonight! Do not miss this tour!

Leiden Photography Workshop and Historic Photo Walking Tour

Leiden through your own unique lens

This is probably one of the most unique and enjoyable tour experiences in Leiden. It incorporates a little bit of everything: iconic sites, beautiful architecture, historical background, and learning to view everything through a unique lens, both figuratively and literally. The local guides are very friendly and patient. They make sure to keep it accessible and fun for everyone, regardless of photography skill level, and are also happy to get a bit more detailed and/or technical if that’s what you’re into. The small group size keeps it feeling intimate and personal, and the common shared interest amongst the participants makes for a welcoming and fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend!

Pilgrims and Painters of Leiden: A Self Guided Walking Tour

Unlock the Charm of this Historical City

If you get a chance download the tour app when you have wi-fi. If not, the process is still easy and fast. We didn’t have plans but had a short time in Leiden and this self guided tour was a perfect introduction. We didn’t have plans and did it on bikes and it took us to all the “must see” places and gave us context and history on their importance. We rode through some of the loveliest parts of the city where we stopped for lunch and could have easily explored more. A really cost effective, personalized was to access an unfamiliar city. We left feeling lucky to have stumbled on this fun, informative tour.
