Car
If you are driving from the center of Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park, start by taking the N347 road towards the village of Rijssen. Continue on N347 until you reach the intersection with the N36. Merge onto the N36 and follow the signs for Giethoorn. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Giethoorn as you approach. Once you arrive in Giethoorn, look for parking areas along the edge of the village, as the town is pedestrian-friendly and most of the attractions are best accessed on foot or by boat.

To reach Giethoorn via public transport, start by taking a bus from one of the main towns within Sallandse Heuvelrug. For example, you can board a bus from Rijssen to Steenwijk. Once at Steenwijk, transfer to bus line 70 or 71, which will take you directly to Giethoorn. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to the village. From there, you can easily walk to Binnenpad and other attractions in Giethoorn.
