Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards the Zuidelijk Havenhoofd in Scheveningen. Use your GPS to navigate to the address: Zuidelijk havenhoofd, 2586 JW Den Haag. There are parking facilities available near the pier, but be prepared for parking fees which can vary, typically around €2 per hour. Follow the signs for the Southern Pier once you park. The Green Lighthouse is located at the end of the pier, and the walk from the parking area to the lighthouse is scenic and takes approximately 10 minutes.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, take tram line 9 from The Hague Central Station towards Scheveningen. Get off at the 'Zwarte Pad' stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Southern Pier. Head west towards the beach, then turn left to walk along the promenade until you reach the pier. Follow the signs for the Southern Pier. The lighthouse is situated at the end of the pier. Ensure you have a public transport card loaded with sufficient balance for your journey, as tickets are required for tram rides.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Scheveningen. Ride towards the beach along the bike paths, and follow the signs to the Southern Pier. The ride should take around 10 minutes from the main promenade area. There are bike racks available at the pier for secure parking. Make sure to wear a helmet and adhere to local traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and wish to walk to the lighthouse, head towards the beach, and follow the promenade westward. Depending on your starting point in Scheveningen Beach, it may take about 20-30 minutes on foot. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and look for signs directing you to the Southern Pier. The Green Lighthouse is located at the end of the pier, and you can't miss it once you arrive.
