Train
From The Hague Central Station (Den Haag Centraal), purchase a ticket to Haarlem. Trains to Haarlem run frequently, so check the schedule on the NS (Dutch Railways) website or at the station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Haarlem Station, exit the station and head towards the city center. Follow the signs to the bus or train exit and once you are out, turn right onto the Kruisstraat. After about 10 minutes of walking straight, you will reach the Gasthuisstraat. Turn left onto Gasthuisstraat, and after a short walk, you will find de Bibliotheek Haarlem Centrum at number 32 on your right.
Bus
From The Hague, take bus line 20 from the nearest bus stop to your location in The Hague to the bus station at The Hague Central Station (Den Haag Centraal). From there, switch to train line to Haarlem. The bus ride to the train station will take about 10-15 minutes, and then the train ride to Haarlem will take approximately 30 minutes. Once at Haarlem Station, head towards the city center as described above.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in The Hague. Head towards the A44 highway, which has bike paths leading to Haarlem. The ride is approximately 20 kilometers and will take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Haarlem, you can navigate through the city using a map or GPS to find Gasthuisstraat. Follow the signs to the city center, and once in the center, look for Gasthuisstraat, where de Bibliotheek Haarlem Centrum is located.
