Café De Dokter: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Amsterdam

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the city center of Utrecht, head towards the main street, Oudegracht. Walk in the direction of the Dom Tower. Once you reach the Domplein, you can locate the Dom Tower. From there, continue straight along the Domstraat until you reach the intersection with Korte Minrebroederstraat. Turn left onto Korte Minrebroederstraat and follow it until you reach the intersection with Lange Viestraat. Turn right onto Lange Viestraat, which will lead you to the Vismarkt square. Café De Dokter is located at Rozenboomsteeg 4, which is just a short walk from Vismarkt. Head south along the Vismarkt and take the first left onto Rozenboomsteeg.

• Public Transport

  To get to Café De Dokter from Utrecht Central Station, take tram line 2 or 3 towards 'Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn' or 'Utrecht Zuilen'. Ride for about 5 minutes and get off at the 'Lombokplein' stop. From there, walk straight along the Vleutenseweg until you reach the intersection with the Croeselaan. Cross the street and continue along the Vleutenseweg until you see a small alley on your right side. This is Rozenboomsteeg. Walk down Rozenboomsteeg, and you will find Café De Dokter at number 4.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from any bike rental shop near Utrecht Central Station. From the station, head towards the Croeselaan and cycle straight towards the city center. Once you reach the Dom Tower, continue to the Oudegracht. Follow the Oudegracht until you reach the intersection with Rozenboomsteeg. Turn into Rozenboomsteeg, and Café De Dokter will be on your left at number 4.
