From Utrecht Central Station, take bus 316 towards Edam. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Edam, disembark at the Edam stop. From there, you can easily walk around the charming streets of Edam.
Train and Bus
From Utrecht Central Station, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Once at Amsterdam Centraal, transfer to bus 314 towards Edam. The total travel time will be around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Disembark at the Edam stop, and you will be in the heart of the town.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops near Utrecht Central Station. Head northwest through the city and follow the signs to the 'Fietsroute' (bicycle route) towards Edam. The ride will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful Dutch countryside along the way.
Walking
Walking to Edam from Utrecht is not feasible due to the distance. However, if you are in a nearby town or village, you may consider walking part of the way to Edam, but we recommend using public transportation for the best experience.
