Walking
If you are in the center of Utrecht, head towards the nearest bus or tram stop and take tram line 2 towards 'Zuilen'. Get off at 'Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn'. From there, walk to the Utrecht Central Station. Once at the station, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the exit doors. Once outside, navigate to the left and walk along the water of the IJ for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with Damrak. From there, head straight onto the Damstraat, and then take a right onto the Oude Leliestraat. The Grey Area Coffeeshop will be on your left at Oude Leliestraat 2.
Train
To get to Grey Area Coffeeshop from Utrecht, first make your way to Utrecht Central Station. You can do this by walking or taking a local bus. Once you're at the station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Centraal. Trains run frequently, approximately every 10-15 minutes. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. After arriving at Amsterdam Centraal, follow the signs to the main exit. Once outside, turn left and walk towards Damrak Street. Continue walking along Damrak until you reach the junction with Oude Leliestraat. Turn right onto Oude Leliestraat, and Grey Area Coffeeshop will be on your left at number 2.
Bus
From Utrecht, you can take a bus to Amsterdam as an alternative to the train. Head to the nearest bus terminal in Utrecht and look for a bus going to Amsterdam. FlixBus is a popular choice with direct routes. The bus journey takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Amsterdam, you can either walk or take public transport to the Grey Area Coffeeshop. If walking, head towards the nearest tram stop and take tram line 4 or 14 towards 'Amsterdam Centraal'. Get off at 'Amsterdam Centraal' and then follow the same instructions as above to reach Oude Leliestraat.
