If you are currently in the city center of Utrecht, start at the Dom Tower, the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. From there, head southwest towards the Neude square. Once you reach Neude, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Oudegracht. Turn left onto Oudegracht, and follow the canal until you reach the central railway station (Utrecht Centraal). Once at the station, take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the east along the Damrak street until you reach the Dam Square. From Dam Square, walk southeast along Rokin street until you reach the Blauwbrug bridge, which crosses the Amstel River.

From Utrecht Central Station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule on the NS (Dutch Railways) website or app for the next departure. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head east on the Damrak street towards Dam Square.
