From Utrecht Central Station, purchase a ticket to Amersfoort. Once you arrive at Amersfoort Station, exit the station and follow the signs directing you to the city center. It is approximately a 15-minute walk to Muurhuizen. Head straight down Stationsstraat, then turn left onto Utrechtseweg which will lead you towards the city center. Continue walking until you reach Muurhuizen, a picturesque street known for its historic wall houses.
Bus
From Utrecht Central Station, take bus number 74 towards Amersfoort. Get off at the 'Amersfoort, Station' stop. From there, exit the bus station, and follow the pedestrian signs toward the city center. Walk along Stationsstraat and then take a left onto Utrechtseweg. Continue straight until you arrive at Muurhuizen.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Utrecht. Head out of the city center towards Amersfoort via the designated cycling paths. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Follow the signs for Amersfoort, and upon entering the city, look for signs directing you to Muurhuizen. It’s a beautiful ride with scenic views!
Walking
For those who wish to walk and enjoy the scenery, start from Utrecht Central Station and head towards the city center. Walk along the Vredenburg street, then continue onto the Mariaplaats. From there, walk down the Korte Jansstraat until you reach the city walls. Follow the wall towards Muurhuizen. This walk will take approximately 1 hour and offers a great opportunity to see more of Utrecht’s charming streets along the way.
