Car

From Zaanse Schans, head southwest on Zaanse Schansweg towards N248. Continue on N248 for about 9 km. Merge onto A8 highway and follow signs for Amsterdam. After approximately 12 km, take exit 1 towards Amsterdam-Centrum. Continue onto S100, which will take you to the city center. Follow signs for Thorbeckeplein. Once you reach the area, look for parking options nearby, as street parking may be limited.

Public Transportation

Start at the Zaanse Schans bus stop. Take bus line 391 towards Amsterdam, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Amsterdam, Centraal Station stop. From there, you can walk to Thorbeckeplein by heading southeast on Prins Hendrikkade, then turn left onto Damstraat, continuing straight until you reach Thorbeckeplein. The total walking distance from Centraal Station is about 1 km.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at Zaanse Schans. Head south towards N248, then follow the bike paths along the road. After about 9 km, merge onto A8 and continue towards Amsterdam. Use the bike lanes leading into the city center. Once you arrive, look for bike parking near Thorbeckeplein as there are designated bike racks available.
